This philosophy played a key role in our decision to move away from using one hero ingredient—our Healthy Hair Molecule—to solve a multitude of hair concerns and, instead, reformulate to create bespoke-like solutions that are scientifically tailored to solve unique hair challenges.
We analyzed the benefits our Healthy Hair Molecule delivered from our shampoos and conditioners and identified innovative alternatives specifically tailored for rinse-off applications. The new shampoo formulas utilize a blend of slip modifiers to reduce surface friction and fiber- fiber stressors; the new conditioner formulas leverage a lightweight sugarcane-derived emollient to control frizz and reduce damage from wet and dry combing. In addition, all shampoos and conditioners contain marine-derived polysaccharides that help protect against pollution buildup on hair.
When our Product Development team examined the many other reparative shampoos and conditioners on the market, they found most competitors simply masked damage by using heavy silicones in their products.
