To get curl definition with the Curl Shampoo & Conditioner, should I shape them with my hands in the shower and/or after?

All curl patterns require different types of styling support! Weaker curl patterns may require scrunching your curls to form curl groupings while stronger textures maybe require a comb/brush to start forming curl grouping in the shower. Using Curl Conditioner for any type of styling techniques in the shower, will make it a lot easier to work with. After forming any type of in shower curl styling with rinse out products, follow with a soft rinse (low pressure) to not disturb your curl pattern.

What is the benefit of using a Shampoo over a Co-Wash?

Co-washes do not have a surfactant system that will properly cleanse the scalp and hair. Incorporating a shampoo into a curl routine, will help keep the scalp and hair healthy.

Our new Curl Shampoo & Conditioner were formulated for all curl types to have proper curl care. After an extensive amount of consumer research, it was apparent that a co-wash was not the most effective for the majority of curl types based on product usage, curl habits and needs.

Great definition but created scalp buildup

"This conditioner (plus the shampoo) really work great to create defined curls. I could use these products twice a week and I didn’t even need to use a gel or mousse to create definition, it was wash and go. The reason I am knocking 2 stars is the ingredients are so-so if you are looking to avoid endocrine disruptors (can we at least make a fragrance free version??) but more importantly it created terrible flakey build up on my scalp. I switched to innersense and the build up is gone but the curls are not as nice. Really wish this product could work without the build up!"
