VP of Global Marketing

Living Proof is seeking a VP of Global Marketing. This position will report to the CEO. The VP of Global Marketing will lead all aspects of marketing for our hair and skin care businesses. The ideal candidate must be comfortable working within a start-up environment, and be familiar with all elements of the below outlined responsibilities, so as to be able to jump into the role immediately and become fully immersed with the team. Efficient, creative, strategic, rigorous and scrappy are all key traits that will make the candidate successful in her position.


  • Responsible for leading cross functional team to create a highly differentiated, three year new product pipeline
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, rigor and discipline in our new product development process (from concept to launch)
  • Drive holistic, integrated marketing plans that encompass print advertising, PR, digital marketing and retail promotions
  • Lead the development and manage of the execution of creative ideas leveraging Jen Aniston and Chris McMillan, delivering high impact marketing ideas that maximizes the impact and delivers strong ROI
  • Partner with VP of Retail Sales to deliver high impact retail programs at Sephora and Ulta that engage the clients and drive trial and sales for our new and existing products. Will be responsible for attending all market meetings and driving presentations
  • Partner with VP of Salons to deliver high impact marketing, promotional and educational programs that deliver on our salon sales targets
  • Drive the international expansion of our business, supporting distributors with the marketing and strategy they need to launch and drive the business globally
  • Create a highly differentiated, elevated merchandising presence in all points of distribution that drives purchase, is easy to navigate, and conveys our point of difference
  • Explore refinement of brand positioning and creative to elevate and differentiate brand further as a challenger brand
  • Responsible for sales as well as driving our site to be the #1 door and gateway for education and brand information
  • Accountable for Valeant partnership including being a member of the Joint Steering Committee, driving the marketing and product strategy for skin care

Professional Characteristics

  • 10+ years of experience in brand management and consumer marketing with a beauty consumer products company
  • MBA
  • Has led diverse team of cross disciplinary marketers
  • Specific channel experience with Sephora, Ulta and Salons a plus
  • Exceptional strategic and analytical thinking
  • Strong understanding and experience in consumer research
  • Proven track record of launching creatively innovative products and consumer experiences

eCommerce Marketing Associate - FREELANCER/CONTRACTOR

We are seeking a full-time, on-site FREELANCER/CONTRACTOR to support our eCommerce business. This is a hands-on position that will provide the right candidate a wide variety of experiences in programs that make a successful eCommerce business run – affiliate marketing, email marketing, loyalty marketing, 3rd party resellers, online merchandising, analytics, social media and more. The position is on-site in our Cambridge MA offices and is for 30-40 hours/week.


  • Support for the Senior Director of Digital Marketing and eCommerce in all day-to-day needs
  • With training and guidance, hands-on implementation of weekly programs in the following areas: Email marketing, eCommerce merchandising, Affiliate marketing, 3rd party resellers (e.g. Amazon), Loyalty marketing
  • Operation of eCommerce platform via its administration tool
  • Reporting and analytics of eCommerce programs using Google Analytics and Excel
  • Craft and implement weekly social media campaigns
  • Generate and post content to social media channels
  • Engage with influencers in social media channels


  • Completion of B.S. degree preferred, including some professional experience
