Sr. Global Logistics and Supply Chain Manager

This individual will be a high level contributor to the Supply Chain department supporting all supply chain functions while leading the Logistics and Distribution Management aspects of the department. The Sr. Supply Chain Manager will ensure timely fulfilment of all orders assuming responsibility for the overall performance of the multi-channel distribution process including: managing the warehouse, shipping service providers, and select component vendors while tracking closely inventory levels. This individual will also support the overall Supply Chain department in all aspects and will help to maximize and develop our systems and infrastructure to support our growing business.

Responsibilities:

Warehouse Activities Management

  • Ownership of all warehousing and distribution functions for all channels – ensuring our 3rd party warehouse has in place and can execute against clear SOP’s by channel
  • Management of multi-channel distribution – all with distinctly different challenges. Ability to adapt work style to meet all of the challenges with: Direct to Retail, Direct to Salon, Direct to Distributors (US and International) and Direct to Consumer
  • Daily review of all sales orders to ensure on-time shipment schedules – actively setting shipment priorities with the warehouse
  • Primary oversight on all retail orders – trouble shoot and communicate issues to resolve as needed
  • Support the Salon and International Sales Coordinator in the oversight of their sales orders – establishing best practices for the warehouse
  • Lead the implementation of all International distribution – involves set up of new countries and distributors – establishing specific SOP’s and protocols for each country
  • Ownership of weekly distribution conference calls ensuring all distribution information is shared with the Living Proof team in Cambridge
  • Ensure information sharing of key dates and requirements between Distribution, Manufacturing and Living Proof
  • Ensures data integrity with warehouse systems to our own
  • Manage prompt destruction of obsolete materials to ensure optimization of warehousing
  • Reviews and approves the monthly invoices from warehouse
  • Regular (quarterly at minimum) on site visits to the warehouse facility located in Columbus Ohio – overnight trips required
  • Regular auditing of warehouse management against written SOP’s to ensure accuracy of fulfilment

Warehouse inventory Management

  • Monitors inventory levels of all active SKU’s in warehouse to ensure ability to fulfil all open orders and known upcoming demands. Works closely within the supply chain team to ensure understanding of upcoming production receipts against the sales order due dates.
  • Ownership of all VAS (value added services) work orders including: International label applications and other projects
  • Ownership of all Kit production at ADS – issuing work orders, providing QA samples to internal teams, ensuring inventory and ensuring on time delivery
  • Responsible for ordering of all non-stock supplies needed for distribution

Third Party Logistics Provider Management

  • Manages the relationship and service levels with all Living Proof directed Logistics providers (parcel, LTL, FTL)
  • Regularly reviews contracts and negotiates or re-negotiates as the business warrants to optimize cost controls
  • Manages relationships with all customer directed forwarders and shipping companies to ensure our warehouse is meeting their needs

Cross Functional Responsibilities

  • Keeps the internal teams informed of the status of open orders on a regular and timely basis
  • Creates Flash reports to keep Sales channel leaders on top of outgoing SO’s
  • Manages tight controls of monthly and quarterly shipments to ensure alignment with budget requirements
  • Supports the LP.com team to ensure availability of upcoming promotions on the pick lines

Systems and Project Management

  • Support development of all supply chain related ERP systems used within the organization
  • Support optimization of SAP
  • Support tool development to ensure data integrity within all of our systems and processes
  • Lead the optimization of our International distribution which may lead to the opening of international warehousing in the future

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Engineering or a related fiel

Research Scientist, Discovery

Living Proof is seeking a Research Scientist to support Discovery activities for new product development in hair care. The Research Scientist will contribute to the innovation pipeline and be responsible for designing and developing new materials for hair care applications from concept through product launch. The Research Scientist will play a key role in a multidisciplinary team of scientist, and identify materials performance design targets through collaborations with Discovery team scientists, and industry experts to address unmet consumer needs. This position will report to the Director of Research. This is a paid, full time, position based in Cambridge MA.

Key areas of responsibility include:

  • Materials design based on target in vivo performance criteria
  • Hands-on chemical synthesis, modification and scale-up
  • Development and validation of materials synthesis, characterization, and performance evaluation protocols

Manager, US and Canada Salon Education

The Manager US and Canada Salon Education will report to Director of Global Salon Education to grow salon business through Living Proof Education and go to market sales strategies. The Manager, US and Canada Salon Education works closely with all other departments and field sales to create the most relevant educations programs for our partners. They will be responsible for managing the North American Education team, salon education in US and Canada, conducting and organizing regional events that are custom fit to the needs of various markets, and the Living Proof Style Lab. Inspire stylists, help salons and distributors grow and mentor education team.

Responsibilities

  • Execute trainings and events – oversee the planning, and organize the planning of successful regional events to generate sales within regions. Responsible for creating and maintaining event budgets, working in partnership with Director of Sales and Distributors to create education calendars and events. Develop new formats of Education. Negotiations with show organizers, event agencies, sponsors and other vendors.
  • Work with distributor partners and Living Proof Sales Team – build positive relationships to ensure the future success of Living Proof. Support teams with motivational sales meetings, in salon classes and spending time in the field with sales to provide education support. Work with Living Proof Marketing to ensure brand positioning and creation of marketing pieces used in the field.
  • Manage US and Canada Education Teams – provide constant contact to both Living Proof Education Team and Brand Enthusiast team with new product launches, sharing up to date information, organizing travel and managing education calendars. Ability to approve expense reports and maintain budgets.

This position will create loyalty of the brand through in-salon/store presence.

Responsibilities

  • Support and achieve goals and objectives set by the Director of US/Canada Salon Sales and the organization
  • Work closely with the Director of US/Canada Salon Sales and Education Manager to develop and adapt customized ideas and programs to help maintain promotional calendar; build, manage and maintain education calendars for assigned distributor accounts, salon and store product knowledge trainings, distributor sales and store trainings and meetings , retail assisted selling days in salon and stores; and help in building, training and maintaining a regional education team
