In 2005 we set out to do just that. Led by Dr. Bob Langer, “one of history’s most prolific inventors in medicine," a team of renowned hair stylists and MIT biotech scientists came together to pioneer a first-of-its-kind haircare philosophy based in science. Their mission was simple but ambitious: to solve everyday beauty challenges, starting at the root.

Today, our MIT foundation drives everything we do. With over 120 global patents, 450+ formulas, 44 products, and 200+ awards, we continue to draw from our original, discovery-based formulation philosophy and create breakthrough, proprietary solutions. We think critically, experiment boldly, iterate rigorously, and refine formula designs using everyday life as our testing grounds until the proof is undeniable.
