Most of us don’t have time in the morning to start from scratch and completely restyle our hair, but walking around the office all day with a baseball cap probably isn’t the most fashion-forward choice. What’s a girl to do?

Simple: use the No Frizz Restyling Spray. Just spritz No Frizz Restyling Spray on your dry hair until lightly damp. Comb through and allow to air dry.

For hair that is really bent out of shape, use a blow dryer and a brush (or a flat iron) to smooth and reset hair to its original style. Focus application and heat at the roots for added volume. This should take you only 2-5 minutes.

If your hair is curly, simply spritz on and scrunch with your hands to revive and defrizz natural curls. Use a curling iron to redefine top layer curls if desired.

Suddenly a problem that looked like it would take an hour to solve, becomes a non-issue within a couple of minutes! Do you have any other quick-fix hair tricks for those rushed mornings?

One look we fell in love with was Reese Witherspoon’s 60s inspired updo from the Oscars. Although it’s not technically a ponytail, we thought we could interpret it into a style you can easily achieve at home.

1. Wash and condition with Full Shampoo and Conditioner.

1. Detangle hair and apply an egg-sized amount of Full Thickening Mousse and spreading it evenly through damp hair. Tip: For added humidity protection, spritz your hair with No Frizz Straight Styling Spray after applying the mousse.
2. Separate your hair into 2-inch sections, and blow dry with a round brush. Lift each section of hair toward the sky as you blow-dry, directing hot air toward your scalp for an extra boost of volume.
3. Gather the top section of your hair. Tip: to find the perfect amount place your thumbs at your hairline, in line with the arch of your eyebrows, then run them back to the crown of your head). Clip this hair back and out of the way using a banana clip while you work on the rest of your hair.
4. Now, gather the bottom portion of your hair back into a ponytail a little underneath the crown of your head. Secure the ponytail with a either a clear elastic, or one that matches your hair color.
5. Take the top portion of your hair that you set aside, and spritz the underside with Full Root Lifting Spray. Blow dry this portion again with a round brush for extra volume.
6. Using bobby pins, pin that top section of your hair first at the crown of your head to give the impression of height without the teasing. Take the tail of this section and wrap it around the base of your ponytail and secure with additional bobby pins.
7. Once the hair is securely pinned down, take the Full Root Lifting Spray and lightly mist it over the ends of the ponytail. Add extra curls to the ends of the hair with a curling iron – for extra fun!

Throw on some statement earrings and you’re ready to go!

Follow these four steps and you can make the most of this situation without going into hiding until your hair grows out.

1. Ask yourself, “Was there enough understanding and communication between myself and my stylist?”

Looking back, most people realize the problem happened even before the hairstylist snipped that first bit of hair. It’s imperative that you describe in full detail the look you want. To make sure the stylist gets your message crystal clear, bring along a visual aid of your desired look.

2. Don’t leave the salon without saying something.

A lot of people are worried about hurting their stylist’s feelings, but stylists have to deal with so many different people on a daily basis, that they’ve developed a thicker skin than you might think. Express your disappointment before leaving the salon so the stylist can make the necessary adjustments.

3. Ask for a second opinion.

Sometimes you look at yourself in a much more critical light than others. If the stylist tried to right the wrong, and it’s still not to your liking, ask your friend for their opinion. You might realize that the only person who doesn’t like your new cut is you.

4. Make the most of it.

When all else fails, hold your head high and make the best of it. If you think a different hair color will make the cut look better, go for it. If you find that using a hair band changes the look completely, stock up on hair bands. If you desperately want your hair to be longer, you can use extensions until your hair has grown out a little.

A lot of celebrities have expressed their dismay with past haircuts, but because they’re smiling and not visibly upset, you barely notice. Confidence can make anyone – and anything – look good.

The great thing about hair is that is grows! Waiting for it to grow seems like a daunting task, but time flies by and soon you’ll see yourself back in the salon chair, waiting for a fresh, new look. Classic ponytail
A ponytail just below the crown in the center of your head, it gives off a laid-back, easy-going vibe. You’re less concerned about “styling” your hair, and more focused on keeping it out of the way, sitting back and relaxing.

High ponytail
A lot of people commented on how Reese Witherspoon looked like a Barbie Doll with her updo at the Oscars – she radiated the youthful exuberance of one of her most famous characters, Elle Woods in Legally Blonde. The high ponytail definitely screams young, fun, and flirty.

Low ponytail
A low ponytail at the nape of your neck is a very professional, clean, chic look (unless you’re Tom Brady, in which case, people will think the exact opposite!). In general, low ponytails seem more elegant and conservative. A low ponytail gathered at the side is a more romantic variation of the look, especially if it’s a little messy and you have some face framing tendrils or bangs.

1)       Start with clean, damp, towel-dried hair. For best results, we recommend washing and conditioning with Full Shampoo & Conditioner.

2)      Comb an egg-sized amount of Full Thickening Mousse through your hair.

3)      Quickly blow dry your hair with a round brush to remove excess water. We recommend dividing your hair into 3 to 5-inch sections, to speed up the process.

4)      Then create 2-inch sections of hair, and wrap each section around a round brush (as you would with a curling iron). Heat the sectioned hair with your blow dryer, and keep your hair wound on the brush for a couple of minutes until the hair is fully cool.

5)      Release the section once it is cooled by slowly unraveling the hair from the brush. Mist the section with Hold Flexible Hairspray. Do this for each section until hair full and wavy.

6)      Create a deep side part and sweep your hair to the opposite side of the part. Pull a little bit of the front piece forward for some volume.

7)      Take your hair clip or slide and pin it back just above the ear.  Mist Hold Flexible Hairspray over the entire style to keep it in place.

Bristle types

When looking for a hairbrush, you’ll most likely notice that the brushes are categorized into two basic bristle types: boar bristles and nylon bristles.

Boar bristles are typically densely packed and incredibly resilient, making them ideal for straightening or brushing through thick or coarse hair.

Nylon bristles are recommended for those with very fine or fragile hair. They are more flexible so they can glide through fine hair and won’t pull too much at tangles.

Basic Brush Types

Round barrel brushes
We recommend using a round barrel brush if you want body and volume from your blow dry. Choose the best bristle based on the information given above, and the barrel size based on your hair length: the longer your hair, the larger the barrel.

Generally, smaller barrels will allow you to add some curl to your blow out while larger barrels will give you a smoother look.

Paddle brushes
Paddle brushes are best for everyday brushing, but can also be used to straighten long hair. These brushes have more surface area, so they create a smoother, straighter look (tip: use a paddle brush before flat ironing for an easier straightening experience). Paddle brushes are not recommended for those who want to add volume, or style layers.

Look for paddle brushes with cushion (where the bristles are secured into a rubber or synthetic pad) if you have fine or fragile hair. The cushioned base creates more ‘give’ for hair to slide through without pulling or tearing.

Vented brushes
Vented brushes have openings that allow air to flow throughout the hair, adding body and speeding up the drying time. These are recommended for those in search of a quick, basic blow out. Don’t use them if you want to straighten or curl your hair, as they tend not to hold hair as well as other brushes.

• The most volume will be achieved if you have some layers in your hair, whatever the length is. Make sure to ask your stylist to give you some layers if volume is your top concern.

Don’t Overly Condition the Hair

• You certainly want to have your hair well hydrated, but be careful not to excessively moisturize with heavy masks as this can tend to weigh the hair down, especially if your conditioners have lots of oils and silicones. This weight may counteract the benefits of a volumizer or thickener, like Full.

Style with Heat

• Applying Full to clean hair and blowing it dry will maximize your volume. Air drying will give you texture and definition, but usually not as much volume as heat styling.

Remember That Different Products Do Different Things

• Full is a thickening product; it is not a root lifter. Cocktail Full with Full Root Lifting Spray if that is the look you want. And experiment — have fun with your hair until you find your favorite style.

Coloring helps

• For those of you who color or highlight your hair, this will give it added texture and will help give the appearance of more volume.

1. The Ballerina Bun

Natalie Portman’s performance in Black Swan is generating a lot of buzz, as is her flawless ballerina look. The ballerina bun not only gives one the air of elegance and grace, but it’s pretty easy to do, too!

Apply No Frizz Straight Styling Cream to damp hair and blow dry it straight. Pull the hair into a ponytail and secure it with an elastic. Then twist the ponytail and wrap it around, forming a doughnut shape, and pin the ponytail into place. To secure the look (and to add some extra shine), mist Hold Flexible Hairspray over your hair.

2. Side  ponytail

A very casual, yet flirty hairstyle that keeps your hair out of your face while you dance the night away! You can do this with either straight or wavy hair.

We recommend doing this look on “second day hair” instead of just-washed hair.  Side part your hair on whatever side you prefer; your ponytail will be on the opposite side of the part. Spray some Hold Flexible Hairspray at the root of the hair and gently backcomb at the crown to give the hair more volume.

Gather your hair to the chosen side and at the nape of the neck, secure the ponytail with an elastic. Find a small piece of hair from the underside of the ponytail, wrap it around the base of the ponytail to cover up the elastic, and secure it with a bobby pin.

3. Pinned back, romantic waves

If you want to keep your hair down, but still don’t want to fuss over it too much, try pinning back the top part of your hair and keeping the rest down.

If your hair is naturally wavy or curly, apply No Frizz Wave, Curl Styling Cream and let air dry. If your hair is straight, use a large-barreled curling iron to add loose waves to your hair.

Gather your bangs or top layers and pull them straight back on the top of your head by crisscrossing two (or more) bobby pins.  Gently mist your hair with Hold Flexible Hairspray to secure the look.

Entertainment Weekly has just named Taylor Swift the Entertainer of the Year. Not a bad accolade for a twenty-year-old. So what was she doing around this time last year? She was getting glammed up for an InStyle Magazine photo shoot by none other than Living Proof co-founder and celebrity stylist, Ward Stegerhoek. Here’s how Ward styled Taylor’s famous curly tresses with No Frizz!

1. Stegerhoek washed Swift’s hair with Living Proof No Frizz Shampoo and Conditioner.
2. When the hair was dry, he curled it with a large iron and used the No Frizz Wave, Curl Styling Spray to set and define the waves.
